Mr. N. Peter Palaniswami studied Masters in Social work( MSW), Law and Management. He has been working in social sectors for more than 3 decades. He has adequate field experience in social mobilization, capacity building, promoting community based organizations, micro finance, micro insurance, micro pension, housing with water and sanitation, financial literacy and livelihood promotion. He has addressed / attended in many international conferences / workshops and trainings to empower the low income poor families. His main focus is to provide affordable housing to the unreached low income groups in rural and semi urban areas.

He is a Chartered Accountant(CA). He retired as Deputy General Manager (DGM) of a leading Public Sector Bank with 32 years of in finalization of Accounts, Auditing, Taxation at Corporate Office, handling SME Credit portfolio, Inspection portfolio of the Bank. He has exposure in both Operations and Administration. After retirement, he has served 6 years in a Micro Finance Company as General Manager in-charge of Operations and Internal Audit.
